We have not gotten to move into our 3 bedroom apartment and are still living in boxes! It was February 5th, then the 7th, then the 17th, and now the 21st! We have learned a lot about ourselves and the boys living in less than 1000 sq ft. I wouldn't change this time, but I'm so ready to unpack. That's really what's gotten to me, not the close quarters and lack of space, but living our of suitcases and boxes.
After writing that yesterday, I decided to stop complaining and get to work unpacking because it is something I can control. AND to set up internet and TV service! So by hubby mounted our TV that had been propped up against the wall in our kitchen and our U-verse was installed this morning! I am thankful for the quick turnaround. And the wires happen to be in the master closet- which really gave me the motivation to hang all the clothes in my suitcase and make my shoe rack to unpack shoes onto. We were up till 11:30pm last night, but at least now we sort of feel like home!
The boys and I went for a quick Target run after U-verse was installed and my new-2 year old, J, decided to cry and scream the entire time. That's right - over 20 minutes of hysteria. Thankfully D decided to be an angel and stay seated in the cart and quiet. I think J mostly wanted out of the cart. I know that he would run wild through the store and I cannot let him out or to stand and jump in the cart. I wish I could wear him on my back, but being pregnant it really doesn't work with my growing baby bump. So, I tried calming him with snacks which were warmly accepted and then SPIT on the floor. --Oh did I mention he is getting his 2-year molars!
I hate teething for infants it is awful, but for 2 year olds it's downright scary. He is now verbal and very physical. Meaning he hits. Yes my child hits, mostly me and often my face. My first boy did this too and I believe it is just a phase, but it always seems to coincide with two-year molars. J has been sleeping pretty well despite the pain. Except for 2 nights ago he woke up for 3 hours and wonderful hubby ended up sleeping on the floor beside his bed for a few hours so that we could all get some sleep. And then yesterday, J woke up from his nap saying "owie, mouth, tooth" and that's when I realized what was happening! And yes the top-right tooth has broken through the skin and is half-way out! Hoping J and all of us get through this quickly and relatively pain-free!
